OUR PHILOSOPHY
We are inspired by Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) and the Reggio Emilia Approach, two internationally acclaimed approaches to early childhood education. We also draw inspiration from yearly continued professional development trainings and independent study and research. Our thematic lesson plan allows for the immersion of Spanish and sign language as routine.
Infants
Our goal is to strive for an environment that supports the natural gross motor development of each child.
This environment is achieved by creating a safe predictable space for exploration as the babies become more mobile.
Toddlers
Our physical environment sets us apart from other childcare programs. Serving as the “third teacher” a concept widely attributed to Reggio Emilia, our environment provides rich and necessary opportunities for children to engage in independent exploration and learning.
This independence fosters a child’s sense of competence and builds self esteem as they learn and grow.
Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves, and to explore what's possible.
